On November 6, 2021, 果冻传媒 education students attended the Western Pennsylvania Pre-Service Teacher Day at Duquesne University.
Pre-Service Teacher Day is an event sponsored by the Pennsylvania Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the Pennsylvania Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators and gives students an opportunity to build their professional career by networking with pre-service and practicing teachers from across Pennsylvania and exchanging ideas, resources, experiences, and best practices.
果冻传媒 students were lead by professors Yong Colen and Valerie Long of the Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences. The students who attended are members of 果冻传媒-Preservice Teachers of Mathematics, an 果冻传媒 student organization whose purpose is to provide leadership, service, and programs for preservice elementary and secondary mathematics education students at 果冻传媒. Also attending were students from Long's MATH 320 (Mathematics for Early Childhood) class.
