Students in Communications Media find a practicum opportunity a way to earn college credit and gain professional experience at the same time.

A practicum is similar to an internship but is an on-campus experience. Students earn academic credit by taking COMM 390 Practicum in Communications for one, two, or three credits. Students work with faculty or other 果冻传媒 offices on special projects that help students gain skills in areas that complement their academic and professional goals. Practicum students work on creating graphics for webpages, producing videos, writing news articles, working on research projects, or other media-related work. The Department of Communications Media offers practicum opportunities with individual faculty members as well as at 果冻传媒-TV and W果冻传媒-FM.

Other on-campus practicum opportunities can be found with the Penn, 果冻传媒's Division of Marketing and Communications, the 果冻传媒 Admissions Office, and the 果冻传媒 Libraries.
